Terms of Service

Fair rules for a fair alarm.

By downloading or using Puzzle Alarm, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language so there are no surprises — and the short version is: use the app to wake up, don't abuse it, and don't hold us responsible when your alarm does its job too well.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing or using Puzzle Alarm ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

3. How the alarm works

Puzzle Alarm's core feature is that your alarm stops ringing only when you solve the presented puzzle or math question. By using the app you acknowledge and accept this behavior, including:

  • The alarm may keep ringing until the puzzle is solved, even if you leave the app or silence the notification.
  • Snoozing is optional, may require solving a puzzle, and is subject to the snooze length you choose.
  • You should not attempt to circumvent, bypass or disable the puzzle requirement to turn the alarm off.

The app is designed to make waking up reliable — please use it as intended.

4. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we work hard to make alarms fire reliably, we do not guarantee that the app will always function without interruption or error. Alarm performance can be affected by your device, its operating system, battery settings, Do Not Disturb modes, and other software on your phone.

To give your alarms the best chance of ringing, we recommend granting the permissions the app requests, including (on Android) the optional battery-optimization exemption.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including missed appointments, lateness, lost time, or any other consequence of an alarm not ringing or being delayed. You use the app at your own risk, and you remain responsible for your own schedule and commitments.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, design, artwork and code are our property or the property of their respective owners, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

7. Your content

If you use your own images with the app (for example, a photo you pick for the jigsaw puzzle), you keep full ownership of them. They are used only on your device to run the puzzle and are never uploaded, shared or accessed by us.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will be revised with each change, and the latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
