1. In short
Puzzle Alarm does not collect any personal information. There is no account, no email, no phone number, no sign-up, and no cloud server. Every piece of data you create — your alarms, settings, and statistics — is stored only on your own device, inside the app's private storage.
2. What the app stores
To do its one job — wake you up — the app stores the following data locally on your device:
- Your alarms — the time, repeat days, sound, puzzle type and difficulty you chose.
- Your settings — such as theme (dark/light) and snooze length.
- Your statistics — solve times, weekly charts and streaks used to show your progress on the Statistics screen.
- Puzzle images you select — if you use a picture from your device in the jigsaw puzzle, it is read from your device and stored only within the app. It is never uploaded anywhere.
All of this is stored in the app's local database and preferences. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.
3. Permissions the app asks for
The only permissions requested are the ones needed to make your alarm ring reliably:
- Notifications — used to show the alarm screen and ring when your alarm goes off.
- Exact alarms (Android) — so your alarm fires at the exact time you set, even when the app is closed.
- Battery optimization exemption (Android, optional) — so your alarm can ring while the phone is idle or locked. This is optional and can be declined.
- Photo access (only when you pick a jigsaw image) — to choose a picture from your own device. Nothing is uploaded.
These permissions are used solely for the app's alarm functionality. None of them transmit data off your device.
4. No tracking, no ads, no analytics
The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We don't know who you are, when you wake up, or how often you snooze — and we don't want to. Your morning routine is your business.
When you download the app, the Google Play Store or Apple App Store may collect standard, anonymous statistics (such as download counts) under their own privacy policies. That is handled by the store, not by the app.
5. Where data lives & how it's protected
Your data is stored in the app's sandboxed local storage on your device. Because it never leaves your device, there is no database, no server, and no data breach surface to worry about. If you uninstall the app, or clear the app's data in your phone settings, all of it is deleted permanently.
6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing collected from children either.
7. Your choices & controls
- Delete an alarm — remove any alarm from the Home screen at any time.
- Clear all data — use your device's app settings to clear the app's data or uninstall it, which erases everything.
- Decline permissions — you can decline or revoke permissions in your device settings, though the alarm may not ring reliably without them.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the updated policy will be posted on this page. Because the app stores no personal data, changes will never affect data we hold about you — because we hold none.
